8.30am leave hotel, 9.00am depart from the port of Manaus, down the Rio
Negro from where we will see the city with its riverside dwellings called
Palafitas. At 18 kms from Manaus we will witness the phenomenon of the
Meeting of the Waters of the Rio Negro and the Solimoes which run
side by side for 6 kms before mixing. We will follow the Rio Solimoes until
reaching the Janauari Ecological Park where we will observe trhe
different ecosystems of the area, the famous Vitoria Regia water
lilies and have the opportunity to buy indigenous handicrafts and sample
delicious Amazonian cuirsine in a floating restaurant. We will visit the
Igarapes and Igapos and fish for piranhas. We will see how the
Caboclos live in the Amazon and after dinner go to see how the Caboclos live
in the Amazon and after dinner go out with flashiligts to hunt
alligatours – an opportunity to see how the Caboclo catches this animal
with his bare hands (returning it to the water afterwards). Return to
Manaus.Arrival:

Day 1 -
8.30 am leave hotel, 9.00am depart from the port of Manaus,

Solimoes until reaching the Janauari Ecological Park where we will
observe the different ecosystems of the area, the famous Vitoria Regia

sample delicious Amazonian cuisine in a Floating restaurant. We will visit
the igarapes and igapos and fish for piranhas. We will see how the

animal with his bare hands (returning to the water aftwards). Sleep
overnight on board the boat or in native homes.
Day 2 - After breakfast we
will trek into the jungle (Iranduba) where our guide will explain the
various uses of plants, including those with mwdicinal properties. We will
eat lunch on the boat then return to Manaus.-Arrival: 5.00pm (aproximately)
